The handy one-piece attachment fits on regular pint- and quart-size, Ball and Kerr Mason jars to create an effective vacuum seal that locks out air, sealing freshness in. Re-seal those handy food-storage jars again and again, using a standard Mason jar lid and the FoodSaver jar sealer.

Easy to Use

The jar sealer works with any FoodSaver vacuum sealing system (machine not included). Simply connect one end of the jar sealer to the machine’s accessory port and the white, round-shaped end to the top of a lidded Mason jar, so that it fits securely over the screwed-on lid. With the push of a button, the system quickly extracts all the air from inside the jar, pulling it out through the flexible tubing to form an air-tight seal.

Ideal for Liquid and Dry Storage Alike

Though not to be used as a replacement for traditional canning methods, the FoodSaver regular jar sealer works well for safely storing strawberry and blackberry jams, chocolate sauces, hot mustards, and other liquids and fragile foods. For those who cook large quantities of food for storage, FoodSaver vacuum packaging systems offer excellent protection against food spoilage and freezer burn. This jar sealer attachment fits on pint- and quart-sized Mason jars and is for use with any FoodSaver machine that has an accessory port. The lid forms a tight seal on Mason jars while tubing (sold separately) inserts through the top and removes air from the jar with the help of a FoodSaver machine. The jar sealer works equally as well in packaging liquid foods, such as jams, sauces, or mustard, as it does for dry goods, such as brown sugar or spices. The sealer can even re-seal the same container multiple times (in case someone keeps dipping into the stored jars of raspberry jam). Vacuum packaging with this lid can keep food fresh three to five times longer than keeping it in a plastic food storage container in the refrigerator; however, it is a different process from canning and should not be confused with traditional canning methods. –Cristina Vaamonde

require no tools and no heat induction equipment.

For proper application consider the following recommendations:

● Make sure your pressure sensitive liner size matches the jar opening.
These 70 mm (2.75 inches) seals are to be used with regular mouth jars
that measure 2 3⁄8 in (60 mm) inner and 2 3⁄4 in (70 mm) outer diameter neck size.

● Completely clean the jar top with clean cloth and alcohol to clear of liquid
and/or solids. Center jar seal on top of you plastic or glass jar, and apply. The white
side of the seal shall be facing down, the side with red letters shall be facing up.

● Screw metal or plastic cap on jar. Make sure the liner and cap are tightly secured
on the container.

● Once the cap is applied, it should not be removed for at least 24 hours
to ensure proper adhesion. Although depending on your application, the adhesion
process might take significantly less time.

● Seals can be used with glass and plastic jars and with lined or unlined caps.
These pressure sensitive liners are best for use with powder or dry products.

● Avoid overfilling your containers!

● Once seal is removed, it cannot be reapplied.
